5th Annual Candy Buy Back Brings In Pounds Of Candy For Soldiers Overseas

Halloween is over and chances are, your kids are still enjoying the candy they brought home. But, some kids are giving their hard earned candy away for a small price.

It’s the candy buy back program put on by area war veterans. They buy candy from trick-or-treaters, and send it overseas to soldiers.

Wausau Family Dental says it’s a way to show their appreciation for the troops.

Dental Assistant, Steph Nardi says helping out the troops is the least the dental office can do. "It’s wonderful, I’ve got family history in the war, so for me its very gratifying helping them out, bringing family and home back to them while they are gone."

There was also a member of the Wausau Veterans Committee on hand to greet all children as they brought their treats in.

Kids were given $1 for each pound of candy they brought in.

It’s the 5th year for the event at Wausau Family Dental.
