MILWAUKEE (AP) -- The Wisconsin members of an agricultural lender have reopened their seven offices in the north central part of the state.
The members of FCS Financial Services had closed the offices yesterday, saying their parent company was shifting too much authority to their Minnesota partners.
The parent company - United Farm Credit Services - was created in 2002 when FCS Financial Services merged with Farm Credit Services of Minnesota Valley.
The merger was supposed to benefit the Wisconsin and Minnesota regions equally.
But the Wisconsin group says the board passed resolutions two weeks ago that would shift power to the Minnesota region.
Marathon County Circuit Court in Wausau granted a temporary restraining order this morning against United FCS.
The order allowed the Wisconsin offices to reopen by delaying when the resolutions could take effect.
The order applies until March 7, when a hearing is scheduled.
