A new aerial lift truck arrived this evening from Appleton.
It cost $520,000, which is actually a bargain for that type of truck.
It was built by Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton in 2000, but the ladder is brand new.
Duane Bann drove the truck to its new home, and said it can hang with other trucks of its kind.
"As good or maybe even better than a lot of them. It handled real nice. Kind of like driving a big family car."
"The basket will move 22 degrees either side off of dead center, which will allow us to allign up windows a little bit better when we're at a fire scene," says Captain Steve Meilahn of the Weston Fire Department.
Next step is some extensive training.
Meilahn says it may be months before it's actually ready for use.
