Opening your heating bill can come as quite a shock during these bitterly cold months, that's because gas prices are climbing. Wisconsin Public Service says 30 percent of the average family's income goes towards heating bills.
To qualify for WPS assistance services, they'll look at household gross income, how many people live at the home, and the size of recent energy bills.
If you need more time paying your heating bill, WPS offers extended payment arrangements or deferred payment agreements. If you can't make the payments, WPS assistance programs may be the better option.
