Representative Scott Suder is continuing to pack his bags this evening after getting notice he's heading to Iraq.
Although he can't say how long he'll be gone or exactly where he'll be, the Abbotsford Republican can say his mission is to support the 115th Fighter Wing of The Wisconsin Air National Guard based in Madison.
Representative Suder says he plans to keep in close contact with his legislative team, and expects to get briefings daily, but he says there's one thing he can't do.
He says, "I wont be able to vote. You have to be physically present to vote in the state assembly so i will miss some votes, but i hope people will understand that i have a mission to preform."
He says as a Staff Sergeant, he'll work with the Life Support Unit that assists F-16 pilots.
The Representative has been a member of the unit since 2003 and was previously deployed to Qatar in 2004.
