Howard Dean supporters were out in Wausau Saturday hoping to gain some votes for the former Vermont governor.
Going door-to-door, the volunteers handed out brochures with information on Dean. They made it to about 50 homes Saturday and say they received a warm reception for the most part.
"From what I've heard, it's been very good," said volunteer Roxane Hagedorn, "in fact, one gentleman said he had been thinking about joining the Democratic Party. So, he was happy that they stopped, but everybody has been very polite."
The door-to-door technique is being used in states that have earlier primaries such as New Hampshire, Iowa and Wisconsin.
