Celebrating Safe

If you're planning on celebrating the Packers game with drinks Sunday, the State Patrol has a message for you: enjoy yourself, but don't get behind the wheel.

Lt. Tim Carnahan says planning ahead is essential if you're planning on drinking.

Use a designated driver. If that's not an option, make sure you have the cash on hand for a cab, and don't let any of your friends drive if they've been drinking.

"If you really care about somebody and you think they're going to drive when they're impaired, get the keys," said Carnahan. "They may be angry at you for a while, but I think that come the next morning they'll realize that you've done them a great service."

With the legal blood-alcohol limit now at .08, Carnahan says if you feel any effects of drinking at all, then you're probably too impaired to drive.
