Newspaper owner Alejandro Vazquez says he started the paper with help from his then 14-year-old daughter Ivone. He says it's important to him to get information to the 600,000 Hispanics living in the state.
"Noticias is all whatever you can think of," said Vazquez. "All of it that is normal for you. For the Hispanic community it is not normal."
Vasquez says the paper covers topics like paying taxes and adjusting to life in America. His daughter Ivone says they've had to fight skepticism from some people about their paper including their Mexican readers.
"It's something really funny cause in the begining they don't wanna be in the newspaper but now they always wanna be in there," said Ivone.
Vazquez says along with noticias they've also begun printing a new spanish language magazine called En Caliente.
