A new bill in the state legislature aims to make life easier for soldiers who return from war and attend college.
The bill would allow students who were called up to still be eligible for student benefits like financial aid and tuition reimbursement.
It would also help the soldiers get past the red tape when re-entering college upon their return from duty.
And it has the support of a Wisconsin lawmaker who also happens to be a soldier himself.
"If people are deployed, they should be able to return with all the opportunities that they had and all the opportunities that people who are not deployed or are not military members have."
Representative Scott Suder has recently returned from basic training. He's now a member of the Air National Guard.
