The wreath stayed perfectly green since Thanksgiving, with the exception of the white light at the top to honor the fallen firefighters.
It's the first time they didn't have to put in any red lights to signify a fire.
"Our goal is always to have no fires," says Cpt. Tom Leslie of the Wausau Fire Department. "Unfortunately, during the holiday season, in the past, we've had a number of fires, and it's a very pleasant surprise that this year, there weren't any fires."
This is the fourth year for the Keep the Wreath Green program in Wausau.
