She is the newest addition to the Polinsky family of Wisconsin Rapids. She was born at 8:38 Thursday morning at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point.
Mom and Dad say they're surprised the newest addition to 2004 came that late in the day, and they're equally surprised their daughter is so big.
"Yeah, eight pounds, five ounces," says Nichole Polinsky. "Bigger than my son, so she's big to me, so I think she was eating well."
Nichole was actually expecting to deliver sometime closer to Christmas. Still, she says she's happy with New Year's.
She'll be able to take her daughter home Friday or Saturday.
