Wausau-area residents who would otherwise have been alone got to spend Christmas in the company of hundreds at the First United Methodist Church.
It was part of the church's 35th annual Christmas dinner.
In addition to all those served at the church, 270 dinners were delivered to people who couldn't make it out of their homes. Assuring that everyone who wanted it, had a Christmas dinner complete with all the fixin's.
"She choked up and she said 'oh, that just makes me feel so much better," said Doris Huckbody, 35th Annual Christmas Dinner, "To know I'll have someone to talk to and to know I'll get a meal on Christmas."
All the food delivered and served was purchased with money donated to the church.
