Business is booming for local shipping service providers as people are going to great lengths to get their Christmas gifts to friends and family by Christmas Day.
Fed Ex estimates they'll send out 3.9 million packages on Monday alone, while UPS projects a total of 4 million sent under their watch on Tuesday.
"It's going to be a very busy time for UPS with second day air and next day air shipments," says Cris Trantow, Owner and Manager of The UPS Store in Wausau.
"We're just going to do what we can to get em' all out."
Both UPS and Fed Ex are offering customers delivery service by air to get packages to their destinations by Dec. 25.
Though most people will get their stuff sent by Tuesday, Fed Ex does offer a same-day air service for Wednesday. However, it comes with a hefty price tag of around $486.
