The contest, sponsored by a local radio station, started at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon with 20 people, and when we were there around noon Monday, it was down to seven.
Contestants can't take their hands off the car except during ten-minute breaks every four hours, but most of them haven't slept in 60 hours.
Contestant Joey Vechinski said, "It's a lot of candy, sugar, caffeine, Mountain Dew, whatever you can. Just look around, run on your bathroom breaks, whatever it takes.”
"Family members are bringing stuff in, the DJ's and everyone with WIFC and Rosemurgy, they're all coming in talking to us, keeping us going. It's a team effort, everyone's having fun,” Jan Janssen said.
The grand prize is a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon.
