That's also where they found the stolen white pick-up truck that 46-year-old Arlo Tratz of Bancroft allegedly drove off in.
Soon after, police say they caught him trying to get to his own car parked about a mile away.
It all happened within an hour of the robbery at the Brokaw Credit Union.
Tratz is already quite familiar with the system, with 35 charges pressed against him since 1992.
Marathon County Sheriff Randy Hoenisch says that helped lead to his arrest.
"His presence in the area, and the fact that his vehicle was there, and a tracking dog was brought in that tracked from the stolen vehicle to his car, and those things combined gave us probable cause to make an arrest."
Tratz will be in court Friday where he'll be formally charged with armed robbery.
