MILWAUKEE (AP) -- A new report by an education publication says children raised in Wisconsin have the eighth best chance in the country of succeeding in life.
The report by Education Week says children here fared better because more parents have post-high school degrees, stable employment, more families earn at least twice the level of poverty and students perform better in reading and math.
Education Week used 2005 Census Bureau figures for its "Quality Counts" report.
