"Buy Local" Initiative Support
A state Senator will throw her support behind the "Buy Local" initiative to promote locally grown foods.

A state senator believes the health and wealth of our local economy depends on the consumerism of the state's residents.
Democratic State Senator Julie Lassa will announce her support of a legislative initiative to "Buy Local," Thursday (1/4) at the Wisconsin Local Food Summit in Stevens Point. The initiative intends to help propel the growth of locally produced foods.
Senator Lassa will be joined by Agriculture Secretary Rod Nilsestuen at a press conference after the announcement at 12:30 p.m.
