Sexual Assualt Suspect Captured
A man Stevens Point police were looking for in connection to two sexual assaults is now behind bars.

A man Stevens Point police were lookng for in connection to two sexual assaults is now behind bars.
Fernando Garcia was caught around 10 p.m. Wednesday at a home in the Wood County town of Grand Rapids. Stevens Point Police say tips from several concerned citizens helped to locate Garcia.
A search of the house where he was found was done by Wood County Sheriff's Deputies and police from Wisconsin Rapids and Grand Rapids.
Garcia was then handed over to the Stevens Point Police and is currently being held in the Portage County Jail.
Police were looking for him after both sexual assault victims from a rash of violence in point over the New Year's weekend identified him.
Two other cases are also under investigation that are related to the sexual assaults.
A suspect is in custody on a probation hold in the stabbing case, and a witnesses are being interviewed in a beating.
