Tons of people came out in Merrill to have a little fun, and give part of themselves at the same time.

The tenth annual M*A*S*H blood drive kicked off in Merrill. Volunteers dressed up in military clothes while the theme of the hit TV show played in the background.

The Community Blood Center sponsors the event and says the fun theme is a great way to get people to donate blood.

Donors also signed a patriotic greeting card when they were done. The banner will be sent to one of the sites of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks to honor the victims.
