American Legion Withraws From Downtown Celebration

One staple of the downtown celebration that wasn't there this year was Wausau's American Legion.
The group announced they were withdrawing from the event Friday, stating an event following the celebration was becoming too political.
A group of people gathered after today's event for a tea party.
The organizers of that event claimed it was not party-affiliated.
