MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee's music festival is honoring members of the military and their families on Sunday.
"Summerfest's Salute to the Military" will feature patriotic music and military band performances. There will also be exhibits and activities conducted by the U.S. Army, Air Force, Marines and Air National Guard.
Don Smiley, head of Milwaukee World Festival Inc., which puts on Summerfest, says it's fitting that the community salutes the military on the July 4th weekend.
The 11-day festival ends Sunday. It's free to enter that day between noon and 3 p.m.
