Four people are accused of violating Wisconsin's hate crime law in the beating of a Waukesha tavern patron that was witnessed by police making a traffic stop.

The criminal complaint filed yesterday describes it as a case of white supremacists attacking a man because he was Hispanic.

Twenty-two-year-old Mark Lentz, 22-year-old Kasey Bieri, and 27-year-old Mark Allen Davis the Second, all of Watertown, and 31-year-old Jeffrey Gerloski of Waukesha all face charges of substantial battery as a hate crime.

The complaint says the beating took place early Sunday outside Hannon's Bar in Waukesha.

It says Bieri told the others she didn't like the way a man was looking at her. The complaint says he was then lured outside, hit in the head with a bottle and repeatedly kicked.

The victim was taken to Waukesha Memorial Hospital, and his wounds were closed with 17 stitches.
