It was a special holiday surprise for more than 100 needy families. As delivery men like Rob Kubiaczyk from K-Tech drove from one home to another Sunday. Bringing all the essentials for a great holiday meal. It's a chance many of these families may not have had without some help.
"I get a great feeling seeing the peoples faces and the reaction when we hand it to the needy family the little kids and the moms... That's great," said Kubiaczyk.
K-Tech raised $4,000 and teamed up with Trigs to put all the baskets together. All of the families were chosen by local churches and other groups who saw people in need.
"We just get names from groups who feel they're deserving so they don't even know its coming, so thats a great feeling," said Kubiaczyk. "So when we knock on that door their surprised."
In his truck alone Kubiaczyk surprised ten homes with a chance at a better holiday. Many K-Tech employess say the basket giving is just one way they can help make their community better.
"I think our guys need to see and have that cause its more than what you take out of a community," said K-Tech President Craig Kersemeier. "But what you can put back in."
Along with the food basket donations, K-Tech is also giving money to local Salvation Army chapters in cities like Rhinelander and Appleton.
