Local Company Finds Treasure in Waste

A local logging company is using its leftover wood to heat its plant instead of electricity. This is all part of the Wisconsin Focus on Energy Program.

The government gave the company money to get the project rolling and now it's reaping the benefits.

The Stevens Point Log Company is saving $75,000 a year in their electric bills. But state leaders say the company not only saves money but also saves our natural resources.

The Focus on Energy Group hopes more businesses in our area try to use this type of conservation.
