The Rhinelander school district is making a move.
The school will now leave the Wisconsin Valley Conference and will be a part of the Great Northern Conference.
Seven schools currently make up the GNC including, Antigo, Lakeland, Medford, Merrill, Mosinee, Northland Pines, and Tomahawk.
According to the Rhinelander Daily Times, WIAA Board of Control is reversing their May ruling, approving the school's request to leave.
Once Rhinelander leave the WVC, Merrill will take its spot, according to hodagsports.com.
The switch is expected to come in the 2010-11 school year.
