The Kronenwetter Village President says she is pleased with their choice for their new Village Administrator.
Back in March the Village had offered the position to a man who admitted stealing from his previous employer back in 2003.
The charges were dropped but that man withdrew his name as a candidate.
The Village President Judi Akey says after going through this process again, the second time was the charm.
Blaine Oborn has signed a contract to be the Village Administrator.
He has 20 years of experience in municipal finance and for the last 4 years he has worked as the Administrator in Ronceverte, West Virginia.
Akey hopes Oborn's experience will help stabilize the way the Village operates and help the Village attract more business developers.
She says the last time around they handed off most of the responsibility of selecting the candidates to an outside company.
"We took more of a role with the recruiting process rather than giving this to a recruiting firm and letting them drive the show."
Akey says a human resources consulting firm helped them pre-screen candidates after they narrowed the field.
Akey says she is very impressed with Oborn, and is looking forward to working with him.
His contract will keep him in the village through 2011, at a salary of $80,000.
Oborn is scheduled to start his new job on Monday July 27th.
