Student council advisor and science teacher Steve Hansen brainstormed with his students, coming up with the idea of a documentary to celebrate the last year of school at Wausau East.

The students scanned pictures from past yearbooks, dating all the way back to 1917. Student council member Rick Michlig spent a lot of time on the project.

"I just think it will be the last bit of history that's gonna go into this school before they move to the new east and start their history," he said.

The half-hour documentary will be revealed the night of Homecoming Eve, Saturday, Oct. 18 at 8 p.m. in the school's gymnasium. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.

The documentary will also be available for the community to purchase. You can get a copy after the homecoming ceremony or stop by the school's main office to pick up an order form
