A source has told WCCO in Minneapolis that barring an unforseen major physical setback, Brett Favre will be in Vikings training camp in Mankato at the end of July.
The source says Favre and the Vikings have come to a contractual agreement with heavy incentives.
On Sunday, Bus Cook, Favre's agent, denied the report saying the two sides had reached an agreement.
The source also says the Vikings equipment manager has already ordered number 4purple jerseys with Favre's name on the back.
When this announcement will be made is uncertain at this time, since coach Brad Childress is currently in Alaska fishing with Philadelphia Eagles coach Andy Reid.
Profootballtalk.com has speculated the announcement will come over the Fourth of July weekend to try and avoid the media hype, since most media are on vacation then.
