According to the Beer Institute, 90 million Americans drink beer.
And in Antigo, they drink beer cheaply. Many suggest Antigo has some of the cheapest beer in the country.
Pabst, Miller Lite, Bud Lite and High Life are all on tap.
"Those are the pretty popular beers we do," said Stephanie Duncan, a bartender at Boettcher's Bar.
Look online and find that Antigo ranks second for the place to find the cheapest beer in the country, right behind Pontiac, MI and Wenona, IL.
"Some are surprised because we do get a lot of non-regulars. But the regulars know what the prices are around here, around this bar," Duncan said.
At Boettcher's, a glass is just 75 cents. But at Farmer's Home Bar and Restaurant, 9 oz. is 50 cents, that's all day, every day.
"That's the cheapest that you're gonna find anywhere around this area. Antigo is probably the number one lowest priced city in the area," said Chuck Turney, the owner.
But Antigo may not be the hub for cheap beer for long, as the price of beer climbs, tapping out local business owners.
There is a debate to increase Wisconsin's beer tax from $2 a barrel to $10. There hasn't been an increase in decades.
But Turney says he's already paying a higher price.
"I've been here for at least 19 years now. We just looked at the price for a quarter barrel of beer, it's almost as much as a half barrel," he said.
That means having the title of home to the cheapest glass of suds around could soon go down the drain.
Wisconsin currently has the third lowest beer tax in the country.
