Upscale apartments, single-family homes, and a retirement facility will all be part of the project. It's being built and maintained by Whitespire Grove LLC.
Rothschild Village President Neal Torney says the subdivision is a win-win situation.
"The multi-family portion - the garden apartments, as they're being called on Whitespire Grove Road - those will be maintained by the developer. They'll maintain the streets, the lawns, gardens, the buildings themselves, trash pick-up. There'll be virtually no cost to the village for that portion of the development."
The village will maintain the single-family homes and the street they're on. The 226-unit community will have rules and regulations exclusive to the residents, and unlike many private subdivisions, this one will be set off by trees and pillars, not gates.
