The Family Center in Wisconsin Rapids assists women, men and children during crisis situations. They offer resources for families such as counseling and housing for women and their children. The center is open 24 hours, seven days a week.
Staff members at the facility say it's much more than a regular job.
"It's emotional it's very rewarding and it can get very devastating at times when you can't help as much as you want to," says Terry Harcrow, staff member.
The 19-year-old center has served more than sixteen hundred children and over eleven hundred families. Anyone can call the center at 715-421-1502.
