Wittenberg Man Arrested after Firing More than 20 Shotgun Rounds
Sergeant Mike Wizner with the Shawano County Sheriff's Department says on Sunday at about 3 a.m. the department received a call from a female resident that her husband was intoxicated and shooting a shotgun outside the residence at 414 Hunter Street in the Village of Wittenberg.

A Wittenberg man is out of custody this evening after an incident at his home early Sunday morning.
Sergeant Mike Wizner with the Shawano County Sheriff's Department says on Sunday at about 3 a.m. the department received a call from a female resident that her husband was intoxicated and shooting a shotgun outside the residence at 414 Hunter Street in the Village of Wittenberg.
While deputies were on scene, several more shots were fired by the husband inside the home. The Shawano County Sheriff's Department Special Response team was paged out and arrived on scene at about 4 a.m.
Sergeant Wizner says the man was taken into custody, without further incident. He says when they went inside the residence, they collected more than 20 fired shotgun shells, both inside and out of the residence.
The Shawano County Sheriff's Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
