The plan for a new hospital in Weston is moving ahead at full speed. But, a new advertising campaign by the opposition is stating, "slow down."

The new ad campaign is featured in the Wausau Daily Herald by Wausau Hospital. Each day one of three half-page layouts will address their concerns about the impact of a second hospital in the area.

The administration at Wausau Hospital is asking the community and village board members to take a 90-day delay and further study the impact.

"We very much encourage the Village of Weston trustees to study the implications for this second hospital," said Ken Day, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Wausau Hospital.

"No, we are not going to hold off for 90 days. We know this is just a stalling tactic," said Vilas Machmueller, Weston Village President.

The Weston Village Board will vote next Monday. It's the final hurdle for the new hospital.
