WISCONSIN RAPIDS -- Wood County Sheriff Tom Reichert has announced that the human remains found by hunters Monday in the town of Seneca are those of missing Wisconsin Rapids woman Deidre Harm.

Harm, who would've turned 22 on November 16, had been missing since June 2006.

Reichert had said the remains were so badly decomposed that investigators could not determine whether they belonged to a man or a woman, and that an identification may take weeks.

At the time, authorities said there was no evidence to suggest the remains were Harm's, but also that there was no evidence to suggest they were not. However, Reichert tells NewsChannel 7 that Harm was identified with dental records.

Harm was last seen June 10 at two downtown Wisconsin Rapids bars, The New Body Shop and The Finish Line.

She did not show up for work the next morning or pick up her four and a-half-month-old daughter from the babysitter.

Police believe she may have been with a man at The Finish Line before heading to The New Body Shop with another couple.

Authorities said they've received dozens of tip calls on the case, but had not found any critical pieces of informaion.

Reichert says the investigation is ongoing. Further analysis will be performed by the Wisconsin State Crime Lab.
