Hartland, WI- A senior prank involving sidewalk chalk prevented nine Arrowhead High School students from walking at graduation.
But they showed up in their cap and gowns anyway.
While the rest of the class prepared for their graduation ceremony on Sunday, the seniors held signs near the road saying things like, "They're unfair," "They don't care," and "We can't walk, cuz we used chalk."
The group admitted to using sidewalk chalk to write "Class of '09" and some small designs on the school building last Thursday night.
The seniors called the prank harmless, but school administrators said it still crossed the line.
The students were ordered to clean up the chalk art just a couple of hours after officials found it.
They were also suspended for one day, not allowed to go to the senior party and banned from the graduation ceremony.

That happened to me. I was a senior this year in High School and I chalked up my school a few times. I got suspended and put on probation, I couldn't attend any school dances and I couldn't go to gradnight. All because of chalk which isn't permanent. I thought it was ridiculous. A bit over the top.
These are still kids we are talking about! Yes they are graduating, but half of them don't even turn the adult age for months! End of the school year fun is bound to happen! Maybe they should have asked for permission first, but to tell them to grow up when they are still kids, just floors me! If they were your kids i'm sure you'd have a different opinion. And someday, i bet, you'll probably be in that same position, and then what will you say? IN RESPONSE TO THIS..They are wanted to be treated like adults. So they got their wish. They are not kids they are considered young adult, and as young adults they need to be more responsible. Rules are rules...actions are actions....and to each there are consequence...sometimes good ones and sometimes bad one. Good for the school! I'm glad they didn't change their decision. GROW UP AND BE RESPONSIBLE!
HA YEAH YOUR GENERATIONS SCREWED IT UP FOR ALL OF US!! WAY TO GO....IT WAS OK FOR YOU AND NOW YOU TALK THE TALK AND WALK THE WALK AND ARE THE PERFECT PERSON TO BE SAYING ANYTHING TO ANYONE BECAUSE YOUR THE GREATEST PERSON EVER! EVERYONE SHOULD FOLLOW YOUR EXAMPLE CUZ YOUR PERFECT. BUT BACK IN THE GOOD OLE DAYS FOR YOU IT WAS OK! THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT YEARS OF MESSING IT UP FOR EVERYONE!
