Five Killed in Traffic Crashes Since Wednesday

The accident happened about 6 a.m. on Highway Eight in the town of Niagara. No other vehicles were involved. Elsewhere, a 29-year-old man was killed last night when his motorcycle collided with a car in Fitchburg.

And, a 16-year-old girl who had her driver's license just six days is killed in a traffic crash in Waupaca County. Shauna Hilker of Waupaca died yesterday when her car veered into the path of a dump truck near Highway 22 and Old Highway 22.

In Langlade County, a pickup truck rolled over along Highway 45 north of Antigo yesterday, killing 23-year-old Tonya Markgraf.

In Milwaukee County, a motorcyclist was killed on Interstate 43 during rush hour traffic Wednesday afternoon. The 57-year-old Pewaukee man had pulled off onto the distress lane, but left the bike's kickstand down when re-entering traffic. He then lost control and was thrown from the bike.
