Congress Approves CWD Funds
House and Senate negotiators approved $17 million to help fight chronic wasting disease Thursday.
The money was included as part of a larger emergency spending bill.
Fifteen million dollars is earmarked to monitor and manage animal diseases like CWD, while two million dollars is for research.
The spending bill could come up for a final vote in both Houses next week.
