WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) -- Foresters are warning people to use caution if they're doing any outdoor burning this fall.

That's because dry conditions have raised the threat of forest fires and brush fires.

Brian Luebke of the Department of Natural Resources explains that there is a risk once the leaves start falling, people are cleaning up their yards and a dry stretch of weather occurs.

He says the fire danger has been high for more than a week because of those conditions.

He oversees an area as far south as Wisconsin Dells and north to Wausau.
