Authorities Arrest Fugitive Known as "Rambo" at Schofield Bar
Steven Thompson, the fugitive known as "Rambo", was taken into custody Tuesday night. He was arrested at Cliffhanger's Bar in Schofield.

Steven Thompson, the fugitive known as "Rambo", has been taken into custody.
He was arrested on a probation violation just after 10 p.m. Tuesday at Cliffhanger's bar on Grand Avenue in Schofield.
Police tell NewsChannel 7 Thompson was sitting at the bar when the bartender recognized him from news reports and called authorities.
The Everest Metro Police Department, Rothschild Police Department, and Marathon County Sheriff's Department all responded to the scene.
Thompson was taken into custody without incident.
Police issued an arrest warrant for Thompson after he failed to check in with his parole agent this week.
He spent 16 years in prison for shooting a Weston man and barely missing a Marathon County Sheriff's deputy. He was paroled in 2005 and allowed to go to Alaska to live with his sister. He broke his parole and was sent back to a Wisconsin prison.
He was released in 2008 and had been checking in with his parole agent on a regular basis until this week.
