A Shawano man has been killed following a collision between his ATV and a pickup truck.

Officials with the Shawano County Sheriff's Department say they were notified at 1:11 p.m. yesterday on Belle Plaine Avenue, just north of Wisconsin Avenue, in the township of Belle Plaine.

They say Raymond E. Drews of Shawano was driving his ATV northbound on Belle Plaine Ave. when he lost his hat.

Upon doing a U-turn, authorities say he pulled in to the path of a pickup truck also going north on Belle Plaine Ave.

Drews, 74, was killed.

The driver of the truck, Barry Galleske, 48, from Shawano, was not injured.
