Rothschild officials made some tough decisions last night at their budget meeting. They agreed to a two percent tax increase, and to increase revenue even more, police will be issuing more tickets.
There is good news, the budget allows the police department to retain it's full staff of ten officers. Unfortunately, two positions from the public works department will be eliminated.
The entire operating budget for Rothschild is a little more than seven million dollars.
