Cole Vetterkind
According to online court records, Cole Vetterkind pleaded not guilty Monday to burglary, battery and strangulation during a court appearance in Clark County.
Authorities say the 26-year old Thorp man dressed as "The Joker' during a home invasion.
The criminal complaint says Vetterkind painted his face like Batman's enemy in the movie "The Dark Knight" and broke into his ex-girlfriend's home in the town of Reeseburg in January.
Authorities say he choked her new boyfriend, who then shot Vetterkind in the leg.
