Things like a rainy weather forecast can cause a little stress before a wedding. But try not having a wedding gown.
That's the case for dozens of women, after a Milwaukee bridal shop filed for bankruptcy and closed, leaving the brides-to-be without their dresses.
Greta Wood owns Elegant Occasions in Rib Mountain. She says being left without a gown could be devastating for a bride. But she says if stores have all their dresses marked way down, or are willing to give you a really good deal, they could be having financial trouble.
"If they're coming down on prices, the bills still have to get paid," Wood says. "So there's a reason prices are set to a certain amount."
Wood says many brides leave their dresses at the shop until a few days before the big day, but you can certainly keep it at home.
