The Wausau Tea Party is now over but organizers say they'll continue to express their outrage toward the current leadership in our country.
Since February, protesters have been hosting tea parties in cities all across the US.
The organizer Meg Ellefson of Rib Mountain estimates that more than 2 thousand people attended the protest Wednesday in downtown Wausau.
Ellefson says they disagree with how *both* democrats and republicans are spending our tax dollars.
"I always thought that every generation wants better for the generation before and I don't feel that way about my kids and I don't think they will have a shot at the American Dream I had growing up, so that's really what inspired me."
She's not against taxes but says we are being taxed too much.
The people at the rally were asked to sign a petition and she plans to send it to legislators in Washington D.C.
