State Testing Begins for Students

Across the state, fourth, eighth, and tenth graders are gearing up for the Wisconsin Knowledge and Concepts Examinations. The tests include reading, writing, language arts, math, science and social studies.

Teachers are lowering stress levels by adding extra rest periods and administering the tests after recess. Tests are also broken into segments during a two-week time frame so students are not overworked.

The statewide tests are geared towards monitoring the state's study progress.
