Survivors, advocates and medical professionals touched by cancer have a clearer vision of the disease this Thursday.
Hundreds turned out for the Sixth Annual Cancer Control Summit in Stevens Point.
The conference tackled a variety of topics surrounding cancer, including how the disease affects residents in rural Wisconsin.
The Medical Director of the National Farm Medicine Center says workers in Wisconsin's largest industry are affected in different ways when it comes to the disease.
Steven Kirkhorn says there are some cancers that are more prevalent among farmers like skin and lip cancer.
Attendees also were able to get a better understanding of issues like cancer among the Amish and Hispanic populations.
