A report from the Wisconsin Democracy Campaign says that's in addition to more than $560,000 Gov. Doyle collected during the same period.

The $1.3 million in contributions to legislators and committees came as they were working on the state budget.

The report says the contributions are about 20 percent less than the same period last year.

Three of the top five Senate fund-raisers are members of the Joint Finance Committee, which reviews the budget the governor proposes. They are Republicans Ted Kanavas, Robert Welch and Alberta Darling.

The other two top fund-raisers in the Senate are Democrats, Jeff Plale and Julie Lassa, both of whom won special elections this year.
