Fire fighters arrived on scene shortly after the fire started, that's thanks to a call from a city street worker.
Firefighters credit the fire stops built into the walls of the home for stopping the blaze. Although no one who lived there was hurt, the homes cat and dog died.
Officials are not ruling the fire suspicious and electrical causes are not being ruled out.
