Portage County Sheriff's deputies say speed and alcohol are factors in a one vehicle crash that left four people hurt.
It happened just after 7 P.M. Saturday on Interstate 39, just north of N. 2nd Drive in the Town of Hull, five miles northeast of Stevens Point.
According to a press release from the Portage County Sheriff's Department, a 2001 Chevy minivan was driving south when it lost control, entered the west ditch, and crashed into several trees.
Four of the vehicle's five occupants were transported to Saint Michael's hospital with injuries ranging from minor to serious. The two with minor injuries were released from the hospital that night. While the sheriff's department is unsure of the status of the other two injured.
The 37 year old male driver from Bloomington, MN was taken into custody for suspicion drunk driving.
The crash remains under investigation.
