JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) -- It took a third ambulance and a snow plow to transport a pregnant woman to a Janesville hospital.

Clinton emergency responders were dispatched to help the woman shortly after midnight Friday after she got stuck in the snow on Highway 14 while driving to the hospital. Clinton first responders were unable to get through the snow storm.

The woman walked over to a private ambulance that had also gotten stuck along Highway 14. Authorities say a third ambulance was dispatched, this one from the Janesville Fire Dept., but also got stuck.

Janesville Fire Shift Cmdr. Scott Morovits says a county snowplow was summoned and the third ambulance was able to take the woman to St. Mary's Hospital in Janesville. Hospital spokesman Joan Neeno says the pregnant woman was treated for nausea, but was not ready to deliver her baby.
